M.Sc in Physics
M. Sc. programme consists of 4 semesters. The first two semesters consist of core courses. The third and the fourth semesters mainly consist of project, seminar and electives. The course structure is made in such a way that, first year M.Sc. students may enable to qualify National competitive exams such as CSIR-NET, GATE, JEST and after completing the course they also be able to qualify for scientific positions in different institutes and organizations, like, DRDO, ISRO, BARC, IGCAR etc. This course structure is benchmarked with IIT Delhi.

(c) Number of Students Intake: 30
(d) Qualification: Bachelor degree with Physics as a major/honours subject and Mathematics as one of the other subjects with a minimum of 55% or 6.0 CPI in a scale of 10 in major/honours subject, without rounding off (50% or 5.5 CPI in a scale of 10, without rounding off, for SC/ST/PWD candidates).
(e) Admission Procedure: Through JAM (Joint Admission Test for M.Sc.) - 2015 conducted by all IIT's and IISc Bangalore.
